Sash Window Painting in Hackney: What to expect
Most Hackney (E8/E9) sash projects are on victorian terracess with 10–20 windows of mixed condition. We hand-strip failing paint, repair the putty and open joints, ease the cords and pulleys so the sashes run again, prime with a microporous system, then finish in two coats of Sikkens or Dulux Trade Weathershield. Done once, properly, the exterior finish lasts 7–10 years.
Hackney's Victorian terraces around London Fields, Broadway Market and Clapton Square are increasingly sought after by families who value the area's character. We work across E8 and E9 on full-house repaints, period restoration and the kind of bold colour schemes that suit Hackney's design-aware homeowners.
